No, as a personal preference, Wild and Wonderful Herbal Apothecary LLC does not create or use any essential oils in any of their products. Our oils contain many different plant constituents, not just their most volatile oils.

All of the oils are infused with dried herbs for no less than 8 weeks at a time, away from the sun but in a warm area for deep, slow, and patient infusion of each plants herbal properties. Our tinctures are slow infused with fresh plant material for no less than 6 weeks in a cool dark area.

Yes, each jar is lead free and are able to handle certain levels of UV contamination making them ok for light sensitive compounds.

Each herbal product will have a best by date. However, best by dates are not the same as use by dates. Many of the offerings on this site are perfectly fine past the 6 month to 2 year best by date. As always, use discretion.
